AdvancedGeo
Environmental
25 August 2017
AGE Project No. 14-3024
Mr. Nathan Casebeer
California Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region
11020 Sun Center Drive #200
Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Subject: Well Destruction Work Plan
CAIN ELECTRICAL WORKS
230 North Church Street, Lodi, California
(Geotracker T10000006162)
Dear Mr. Casebeer:
At the request of Mr. Jim Weber, trustee of the estate of Mr. Herman Weber, Advanced
GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Well Destruction Work Plan for the
property located at 230 North Church Street, Lodi, California (site). The site was formerly
occupied by Cain Electrical Works. This work plan was prepared for the destruction of
four (4) groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) and four (4) soil-vapor
extraction wells (VW-1 through VW-4). The site and the surrounding area are illustrated
in Figure 1. Soil boring and well locations are illustrated in Figure 2. This work plan was
prepared in accordance with California Water Quality Control Board (CWQCB) guidelines
for the investigation of contaminated sites.
SCOPE OF WORK
A total of four (4) groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 to MW-4) installed to total depths
of 65 feet below surface grade (bsg) and four (4) soil-vapor extraction wells (VW-1 to
VW-4) installed to total depths of 45 feet bsg are proposed for destruction. The wells had
been installed as part of the subsurface investigation and rennediation at the site, which
is currently being overseen by the Regional Board. The wells are depicted on the site plan
in Figure 2.
Utilizing historical soil (no detections near wells) and groundwater data (all groundwater
samples were non-detect for contamination) and based on San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) directive, well destruction requirements, all
wells are required to proposed to be over-drilled and grouted with neat cement
eg5
dI
837 Shaw Road • Stockton, CA 95215
Telephone (800) 511-9300 • Fax (888) 445-8786
An Employee-Owned Company
