(AGE) has prepared this Limited Subsurface
Investigation Report for the property at 2249 Waterloo Road, Stockton, California. The investigation
was performed to determine if any petroleum-hydrocarbon impact was present on the subject site as
the result of the former operation of underground storage tanks on an adjacent facility. The location
of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. Major features on the site and soil boring locations are illustrated
in Figure 2.
INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
Based upon historical research performed by Hanson Van Vleet, LLC, it is our understanding that
a gasoline station was formerly located on the property immediately west of the subject site. The
purpose of the investigation was to determine if any impacts are present on the subject property as
a result of previous operations at the adjacent facility.
The scope of work included submittal of a work plan, boring permit and regulatory oversight fees
to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) and the advancement of
two soil borings for collection of soil and grab ground water samples for laboratory analysis.
SOIL PROBE BORING ADVANCEMENT
On 20 February 2007, AGE advanced two soil borings along the west property line of the subject
site. Soil borings B-1 and B-2 were advanced utilizing a van-mounted Geoprobe 5400 direct-push
probing unit equipped with 1.25-inch probing rods. The Geoprobe advances soil probe borings using
837 Shaw Road, Stockton, California 95215
Iclephonc (209) 467-1006 Fax (209) 467-1118
