02 March 2007
AGE-NC Project No. 06-1433
Purgeable aromatics (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes: BTEX), in accordance
with EPA Method 8260B; and
Fuel additives, including di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), methyl
tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary-butyl alcohol
(TBA), 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB), and 1,2-dicholoroethane (1,2-DCA) in accordance with
EPA Method 8260B.
EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION
Prior to sample collection, Geoprobe soil sampling equipment was thoroughly rinsed with clean
water after being washed with a solution of Alconox. Geoprobe rods were thoroughly cleaned prior
to soil probe boring advancement.
FINDINGS
Organic vapors were not detected in any samples collected using the PD. Furthermore, no petroleum
hydrocarbons-like odors were noted in any of in the samples collected.
No target analytes were detected in the analyzed ground water samples. The analytical results are
summarized in Table 1. A copy of the laboratory report (CTEL Project No. CT214-0702153) is
included in Appendix A.
LIMITATIONS
AGE's professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised
by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based
primarily upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation were made from
a limited number of available data points (i.e., soil borings and ground water samples) and
subsurface conditions may vary beyond these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied,
is made as to the professional recommendations contained in this report.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
