4: Personal Protective Equipment Health and Safety Plan <br />Safety shoes/boots with protective overboots or knee-high PVC polyblend boots when direct <br />contact with chemically affected soils is anticipated. <br />Hearing protection. <br />Sturdy work gloves. <br />High-visibility traffic safety vest. <br />Work will cease and PPE upgraded if action levels specified in Section 5.2 are exceeded. The RSUM <br />will be notified whenever PPE is upgraded or downgraded. <br />4.2 Stop Work Conditions <br />If air monitoring indicates that the site-specific action levels defined in Section 5.2 are exceeded, <br />activities will cease, and personnel must evacuate the designated Exclusion Zone. The PM and <br />RSUM will be contacted immediately. <br />Work will also cease if unanticipated conditions or materials are encountered or if an imminent <br />danger is identified.
