MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -4- <br />CALIFORNIA AMMONIA COMPANY <br />CALAMCO - STOCKTON TERMINAL <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />locations. At a minimum, a visual inspection shall be conducted to determine the <br />presence of stains, odors or other abnormal conditions. <br />Conduct wet season (October through April) observations of all storm water <br />locations during the first hour of one storm event per month that produces significant <br />storm water discharge (continuous discharge of storm water for one hour or more) to <br />observe the presence of floating and suspended materials, oil and grease, <br />discolorations, turbidity, odor, etc. <br />Unless exempted, collect and analyze grab samples of storm water discharge from at <br />least two storm events during the wet season winch produce significant storm water <br />discharge that is preceded by at least three working days of dry weather. The <br />sample(s) should be taken during the first thirty minutes of the discharge. Samples <br />must be representative of the quality and quantity of storm water discharged. The <br />samples should be analyzed for: <br />Constituent Unit Type of Sample <br /> <br />PH pH units Grab <br />Ammonia mg/1 as N Grab <br />Oil & Grease mg/1 Grab <br />Total Suspended Solids mg/1 Grab <br />Specific Conductance µmhos/cm Grab <br />Provide documentation if unable to collect any of the required samples or perform <br />visual observations due to adverse climatic conditions, or if significant storm water <br />discharges commence later than two hours following scheduled facility operating <br />hours. <br />Submit an annual report by 1 August of each year to the Regional Board. The <br />report shall include a summary of visual observations and sampling results, the <br />certification required in 2, above, and any documentation required in 6, above. <br />REPORTING <br />Monitoring results shall be submitted to the Regional Board by the 20th day of the month <br />following sample collection. Quarterly and annual monitoring results shall be submitted by the <br />20th day of the month following each calendar quarter and year, respectively.
