Jeffrey K. Tucker 3 February 16, 1989
Results of laboratory analyses of groundwater samples obtained from
monitoring wells at the Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill are contained
in the California Water Labs Reports included as Attachment 1 . The
quality assurance data indicates that the results are of good
quality.
Levels of Chloride, Specific Conductancep Total Dissolved Solids and
Total Hardness were detected in the groundwater sample from MW-4 at
somewhat higher levels than in the other wells sampled (see
Attachment 1 ) . This was also the case in the annual monitoring
report for June 1987 (See EMCON, "Groundwater Monitoring Plan
Implementation" , August 1987) and the previous quarterly reports for
the second and third quarters of 1988. Howeverp the detected levels
of these parameters in MW-4 do not exceed drinking water standards
imposed under Title 22.
If you have any questions regarding this report, please contact
myself or Tom Horton, Solid Waste Manager at (209) 468-3066.
Sincerely yourst
Mark J. rquhart/9) P.E.
Associa e Civil Engineer
LA11204a
MU
Attachments
c
Wtv- tal,,44ea 1-th- District
