. i <br /> INFORMATION SHEET <br /> THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN <br /> HARNEY LANE CLASS III LANDFILL <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> The County of San Joaquin discharges 'nonhazardous solid waste' and ' inert waste' <br /> on 112 acres of land at 14750 East Harney Lane, 1/4 mile east of Jack Tone Road. <br /> This is an existing disposal site which was first operated by the City of Lodi in <br /> 1948. The County took over operation 1 January 1975 and purchased the City of <br /> Lodi 's interest in the landfill in April 1987. <br /> These revised WDRs replace Board Order No. 78-147 and reclassify the site from a <br /> II-2 to a Class III landfill under the new Subchapter 15 requirements. The site <br /> will be closing in stages, with final closure planned for November 1991. <br /> The water table in the area is approximately 112 feet below ground surface. Mean <br /> annual. precipitation is 18 inches. Soil consists of Hanford Sandy Loam from <br /> Great Valley Fan Deposits of Pleistocene Age. <br /> Land within 1,000 feet of this site is used for agriculture. The County of San <br /> Joaquin operates a 15 acre migrant labor camp on the adjoining parcel to the west <br /> of the landfill . <br /> Revised:5/6/87:GJW:gs <br />
