We are pleased to present you with this proposed <br /> scope of work and cost estimate. Our objective for the project work will be to <br /> install 36 methane gas migration probes in 12 borings at the locations you have <br /> specified and decommission six existing gas probes. Additional gas probes can <br /> be decommissioned if required, but are not included in this scope of work. The <br /> work has been divided into individual tasks to assist both you and ourselves in <br /> budget evaluation and project control. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The following scope of work is divided into four tasks. Task 1 is an initial visit to <br /> assess site conditions. Task 2 consists of the probe installation and monitoring. <br /> Task 3 is the decommissioning of six existing probes, and Task 4 is the <br /> preparation of the summary report. <br /> Task 1. Initial Visit and Monitoring System Design <br /> An engineer from EMCON will visit the landfill to assess site conditions. We will <br /> meet with your representative at the site and obtain the necessary background <br /> information, including landfill configuration, soil conditions, equipment <br /> accessibility, and utility locations. <br /> We will prepare and submit an Application for Well Permit to the Health <br /> Department, including the required drawings and detailed work plan, if needed. <br /> 1921 Ringwood Avenue, San Jose, California 95131, (408)453-7300 <br />
