In <br /> accordance with Closure/Postclosure regulations we, submit the <br /> following comments: <br /> 1. Section 6. 0 of the Final Closure Plan states that existing gas <br /> probes will not be incorporated into the postclosure <br /> monitoring plan. more information is needed as to how the <br /> probes will be decommissioned and disposed in accordance with <br /> section 17772 . <br /> 2 . Closure cost estimates are provided for dismantling the four <br /> existing groundwater monitoring wells and the ten gas <br /> monitoring wells proposed for postclosure monitoring. Please <br /> provide closure cost estimates for dismantling the existing <br /> gas probes that will not be incorporated into postclosure. <br /> 3 . Section 7.0 of the Final Closure Plan (site security) must <br /> address the requirement for a sign to be placed indicating <br /> where the closure and postclosure maintenance plans are kept <br /> and can be viewed by the public (17767(d) ) . The Site Security <br /> element must also state that the newspaper notification will <br /> be published 30 days prior to closure (17767 (a) ) . <br /> 4. Subsection 17776 (f) requires the operator to "prepare <br /> calculations based on the final site configuration to <br /> determine anticipated differential settlement of the site <br /> during the postclosure maintenance period. " Please include <br /> ., the required calculations in the Final Closure Plan. <br /> 5. what security measures are in place or are proposed to protect <br /> the drainage detention basin from unauthorized entry? <br /> (17778 (f) (3) ) .
