Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Re: Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill Gas Monitoring Plan, 10/29/90 <br /> Dear Mr. valinoti: <br /> The ill Gas Monitfor. Harn Lane Sanitary <br /> Landfill -dated October 29 , 1990 was received by the California <br /> Integrated Waste Management Board (Board) on March 6, 1991. <br /> Board Staff reviewed the plan in regards to criteria set forth in <br /> Title 14 California Code of Regulations (CCR) Section 17783 <br /> through Section 17783 . 17. Staff offer the following suggestions: <br /> (1) Figure 3 Gas- and-Ground Wor Monito Ing Well Locations <br /> (page 6) - The location of any and all structures both on the <br /> landfill and within 1, 000 feet f the landfill's boundary need to <br /> be shown in relation to the location of the gas monitoring wells <br /> (17783 -5 (b) (3) ) . <br /> Staff request an additional g * monitoring well be installed <br /> along the north-west boundary between the landfill and the Labor <br /> Camp Housing (17783 . 5 (b) (3) ) . <br /> (2) Figure 4 as MonitorAna ell (page 7) - A minimum seal of 'S <br /> feet of bentonite at the surface as well as between zones being <br /> monitored is required (17783.5 (d) (3) ) . <br /> Staff have found that 1/811 flexible vinyl tubing frequently comes <br /> 10086 from the top of gas probes. Please request that a sampling <br /> port be designed for the top of the 1/211 schedule 40 pvc pipe to <br /> replace the need for this tubing. (See enclosed diagram. A <br /> comparable design may be acceptable. ) <br /> (3) Perimeter 'Monitoring Network, Depth (pages 4 & 5, figure 4) - <br /> The depth of the wellbore shall equal the maximum depth of refuse <br /> as measured within 1, 0oo feet of the monitoring point <br /> (17783.5(0) (1) ) <br /> 2 'd S0 :02 T6/S2/bo w0aj <br />
