0 0
Hi, Harprit and Robert,
Harvest Power has decided to allocate some time and money into researching vermicomposting and I thought Lathrop
would be a good place to start research.
The regulations under Cal Recycle define vermicomposting as an "excluded activity" from California Solid Waste
Regulation, but that it must comply with fundamental health and safety codes.
Since California defines vermicomposting as an excluded activity, would we need to do an RCSI amendment in order to
begin development of this project?
As far as I can predict, the operation would be on a fairly small scale. We are still working out logistics of where and how,
and the determination of those may be influenced by your response. I personally like the idea of having a "bin" in the
workshop/barn where we currently have some space and nice cover from the weather.
I just wanted to get your input before investing too much time or money into this. If an RSCI amendment will be
required for this, then I would do it at the same time as the Aerated Static Pile Amendment. Let me know your thoughts.
Happy Friday,
ADAM PESCATORE I HARVEST POWER
Regulatory Compliance Coordinator
209-229-6667
916 Frewert Rd
Lathrop, Ca. 95330
apescatore@harvestpower.com
Web I Blog I Facebook I Twitter
http://www.harvestpower.com/privacy-pol icy/
..UNrD
