CONSTRUCTION
1. aiihig
The injection well shall inject only into rocks of the Domengine formation or lower forma-
tions. In no case shall injection be allowed into the Nortonville shales or higher forma-
tions.
2. Casing and Cementing
The casing, tubing, liner, and cement used in the construction of the well shall be designed
for the life expectancy of the well. The following approximate specifications apply to
the injection well:
- Conductor pipe - 40 feet of 16 inch or larger pipe
- Surface casing - 1700 feet of 10-3/4 inch, K-55, 40.5 pounds/foot, ST & C casing ce-
mented from the surface to a depth of 1690 feet.
- Long string casing - 2700 feet of 7 inch, K-55 and 8 rnd, 20 pounds/foot, ST & C casing
cemented from the surface to 2829 feet.
- Tubing - 5-1/2 inch, K-55, 12.75 pounds/foot, API EUE tubing from the surface to 3373
feet with a hydraulic set packer set at approximately 2829 feet or at such depth as profes-
sional judgement may suggest.
- Liner - 5-1/2 inch, K-55, 17 pounds/foot, FJ slotted liner from 2771 feet to 3375 feet.
3. Tubing and Packer Specifications
Injection may only take place through 5-1/2 inch tubing with a locking, retrievable packer
set within the long string casing immediately above the injection zone (at approximately
2829 feet). The tubing and packer shall be maintained in a manner which is compatible
with the injection operation specified in Part I1, Section B, and to prevent the movement of
fluids into or above underground sources of drinking water. The tubing and packer shall
be corrosion-resistant and be of sufficient strength to resist wellbore pressures developed
during the life of the well.
4.
