As requested, a <br /> representative of our firm observed earthwork operations and performed tests at the site on April <br /> 21 and 22, 2004, on an intermittent basis. Eighteen tests were taken by the nuclear probe test <br /> method at random locations on excavation backfill. The depth of backfill was approximately 6 <br /> feet in the west portion and 3 feet in the east portion. The top 3 feet of the easterly portion was <br /> backfilled with native soil without density tests performed. The area was designated as non- <br /> structural for farm land use. The test results, summarized on the attached table, conform to the <br /> compaction requirements of the project specifications. <br /> We have employed accepted engineering and testing procedures. However, we do not undertake <br /> the guarantee of construction, nor do we relieve the contractor of his primary responsibility to <br /> produce a completed project conforming to the project plans and specifications. <br /> If you have any questions about this report, please call our office. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> KLEINFELDER, INC. <br /> Dennis A.
