Any driller working on a well must have a current C-57 license. It is one of the things we check (along with Workman's Comp) before any permit could be issued. However it was just brought to our attention that they don't have C57 license, only an A contractors license. The reason being that they normally drill foundations and caissons. They dont drill water wells. Because this isn't one of your regular well abandonment jobs that does require oversized equipment to drill out existing well, will an A license suffice? Please advise.
