Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Mr. Carls,
Enclosed is the preliminary subsurface investigation and in-situ
bioremediation feasibility study for PG&E's Lathrop dehydrator
station. This report was prepared for PG&E by Ground Water
Technology, Inc.
This report indicates that in-situ bioremediation of the
subsurface soils at the station is a feasible remedial action
alternative. Soil hydrocarbon and triethylene glycol
concentrations in the ranges found at the station can be readily
degraded by an appropriate microbial population.
PG&E is currently developing a "request for proposal " to further
characterize the petroleum hydrocarbons found in the soil at the
station. Once PG&E has selected a consultant, an additional
sub-surface investigation will be developed and submitted for
your approval . This additional investigation will help PG&E
select the most effective and practical solution possible.
If you have any questions, or wish to discuss these matters in
greater detail , please contact Mr. Mike Bennett at (209)443-5568.
Ronald C.
