Can react violently <br /> with oxidizing agents. Firefighters should wear self- <br /> contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing. <br /> SECTION V- HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION <br /> The primary routes of entry are by: Inhalation, Skin contact <br /> 1 EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: <br /> Eye: Moderately irritating to the eyes. <br /> 1 Skin: Prolonged and repeated liquid contact can cause defatting and drying of the skin resulting <br /> in skin irritation and dermatitis. <br /> 1 Inhalation: This product may cause irritation to the nose, throat, and respiratory tract. Prolonged <br /> inhalation of elevated concentrations may result in liver and kidney damage. <br /> Overexposure to vapors can cause bronchopneumonia, with fatal pulmonary edema at <br /> high concentrations. Repeated exposure to high level benzene concentrations may produce <br /> injury of the blood-forming tissues causing blood abnormalities and possibly leukemia. <br /> Ingestion: This product may be harmful or fatal if swallowed. Ingestion may result in vomiting; <br /> aspiration (breathing) of vomitus into the lungs must be avoided as even small quantities <br /> Jmay result in pneumonitis. <br /> EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES: <br /> Eye Contact: Flush with water for 15 minutes while holding eyelids open. Get medical attention. <br /> Skin Contact: Flush with water while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Follow by washing <br /> jwith soap and water. Do not reuse clothing or shoes until cleaned. If irritation persists, <br /> get medical help. <br /> Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and provide oxygen if breathing is difficult. Rescue breathing <br /> should be performed if victim has stopped breathing. Get medical attention. <br /> Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep head below hips to <br /> prevent aspiration of liquid into the lungs.
