Provide a statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department that the <br /> correction is complete. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 106 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented)that <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained, based on the following observations: <br /> 1. Deepak Vig,the facility manager, did not have the code to open the lock on the facility's hazardous waste solids <br /> drum, in order to open drum. <br /> 2. Deepak Vig,the facility manager,was not familiar with the emergency procedures in the event of a fuel release. <br /> According to Deepak all fuel spills at the facility are cleaned up by a clean-up company. However, according to <br /> Gagan Bahad,the facility franchisee, small fuel spills are cleaned up with absorbent by the facility employees and <br /> placed in the on-site hazardous waste drum. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees.
