Ramirez-Lease Folder No. 303400 <br /> Dear Mr. Ramirez: <br /> Union Pacific Railroad Company (Union Pacific) received the attached Notice to Abate from the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD) regarding the above-referenced property,which is leased by your <br /> company from Union Pacific. Per Section 7 of the governing lease agreement, you are required to take action to <br /> address the Notice to Abate and any other evidence of environmental impairment on the leased property. <br /> We request that you take the following actions to respond to these concerns: <br /> • Immediately remove and properly dispose of stained soil. Submit manifests to Union Pacific and SJCEHD <br /> documenting proper disposal. Submit confirmation soil sampling to verify that all impacted soil has been <br /> removed. <br /> • Conduct a soil and groundwater investigation of the property to assess other impacts from lease activities. <br /> • Properly dispose of waste, materials and debris that are not essential for business operations. <br /> A written response to this notification and a proposed work plan should be submitted to my attention within the next 15 <br /> days.
