Stantec
L & M OPERABLE UNIT- FOURTH QUARTER AND ANNUAL 2012 SITE STATUS,
REMEDIAL SUMMARY, AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT
Status of Remediation Activities
February 1, 2013
beneath the Delta View Apartments. Historical ASVE system operations and analytical data are
presented in Tables 15 through 17.
3.2.4 L&M OU Soil Vapor Extraction System Analytical Data—4Q12
During 4Q12 (September 21, 2012 to December 21, 2012) the SVE system removed
approximately 24.6 lbs. (4.0 gallons) of TPHg, 0.08 lbs. (0.01 gallons) of benzene, and 0.18 lbs.
(0.03 gallons) of MtBE from the subsurface. To date the SVE system has removed
approximately 4,638 lbs. (760 gallons) of TPHg, 5.17 lbs. (0.72 gallons) of TPHd, 3,362 lbs.
(0.46 gallons) of benzene, and 6.87 lbs. (1.11 gallons) of MtBE from soil vapor beneath the L&M
OU. Historical SVE system operations and analytical data are presented in Tables 18 through
21.
3.3 SEPARATE PHASE HYDROCARBON REMOVAL
SPH removal activities are conducted to remove observed SPH from wells on and offsite. SPH
removal activities are conducted quarterly (at a minimum) for wells that repeatedly contain SPH
sheen or a measurable thickness of SPH. A free product recovery system is scheduled to be
installed early 2013 for offsite wells in the WOTOA parking lot. Following the installation of the
free product removal system, quarterly SPH removal activities will cease.
The DPE Non-aqueous Extraction Technique (NET) free product removal system and periodic
extraction from monitoring wells removed approximately 7.2 gallons of SPH from groundwater
beneath the Site between July 12, 2012 and October 11, 2012. Approximately 1,796.1 gallons
of SPH have been removed from groundwater beneath the Site since May 10, 2004.
SPH removal data can be found in Tables 13 and 14, and field notes from the SPH removal
event can be found in Appendix I.
I:\Tidewater\TW Stockton(P2A)\QMRs\2012\4Q12-Ann ual\4Q12 and Annual QSSR QRSR QMR Stockton_FINAL.doc 3.3
