Two VOCs in 2"d Q,but did
not show up in retest results.
MW-2: four trace detections of VOCs in 4"'Q. County states that decrease in detections is evidence of the
effectiveness of the corrective action, which was closure of the landfill and incorporation of a gas collection system.
MW-3: Dichlorodiflouromethane was found to be a false positive detection because trip, field, and method blanks had
detections due to laboratory error. Could also be sampling error.
MW-4: two VOCs 1S`Q, but were false positives due to detections in trip, field, and lab blanks. Were considered lab
errors. Could also be sampling errors.
Appendix B: Water Sample Field Data Sheet showsthat a Well Wizard©is used to purge the wells. Not clear in SAP
(Appendix A). Should update SAP to reflect specific protocols at Harney Lane to clarify.
RWQCB Staff Signature:
Date: 30 July 2003
