The Revised
Workplan was prepared by Science Applications International Corporation — Benham, LLC
(SAIC).
In September 2010, the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley
Region, (Central Valley Water Board) staff approved a workplan to investigate the lateral and
vertical extent of impacted soil and groundwater associated with the Site. Subsequently,
access to residential properties proposed for soil borings was denied by the property owners
and a Revised Workplan was provided. SAIC's November 2011 Workplan proposed
installation of three soil borings at alternative locations where access was available, primarily
along California State Highway 33.
In early December 2011, Central Valley Water Board staff discussed the three proposed soil
boring locations (A, B, and C) with Chevron and SAIC representatives. It was agreed that soil
boring location A would be relocated from the west side to the east side of the highway
approximately 200 feet to the northeast; boring B would be repositioned approximately midway
between A and C, resulting in about a 75 to 85 foot shift of boring B to the northwest.
Central Valley Water Board staff concurs with the Revised Workplan and the repositioning of
the borings.
By 1 June 2012, please submit the soil and groundwater investigation report of findings,
California Environmental Protection Abencr
C1 Hec;t,cled Paper
