We understand that since then, a portion of the
subject property, including an adjacent parcel has been sold and is now owned by the Bellini family.
ChevronTexaco is requesting a time extension be granted to conduct additional work at the adjacent
Arcos property (both the Roberts/Bellini and Arcos sites are part of the former Vernalis Pump Station),
in conjunction with the Roberts/Bellini investigation. Consequently, you have indicated that the final
report will be submitted for both properties after the investigation is completed.
We understand that a separate Workplan will be submitted for the Arcos parcel. According to
ChevronTexaco's letter dated 6 October 2003, the Arcos property fieldwork will be conducted beginning
the last week of October, pending our review of the Workplan. The soil and groundwater investigation
report for both sites will be completed within 60 days after field results are obtained. Your request for
an extension to submit the final report for the Bellini (Roberts)/Arcos investigation is approved.
By 9 January 2004, please submit the soil and groundwater investigation report for both sites.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact Dean Hubbard at (559) 445-5179.
c4&2
SHELTON R.
