The air concentration of non-VOCs in ambient <br /> air was calculated using the following equation(PEA Guidance Manual, Figure 2.8): <br /> Ca= Cs x(5E-08 kg/m 3) <br /> Where: <br /> Ca= concentration in air, mg/m3 <br /> Cs = concentration is soil, mg/kg <br /> SAIC-Benham used this equation to estimate air concentrations of the following non-volatile <br /> PAHs (Table 16): <br /> • Benzo(a)anthracene <br /> • Benzo(a)pyrene <br /> • Benzo(b)fluoranthene <br /> • Benzo(g,h,i)perylene <br /> • Benzo(k)fluoranthene <br /> • Chrysene <br /> • Dibenzo(a,h)anthracene <br /> • Fluoranthene <br /> • Indeno(1,2,3-cd)pyrene <br /> • Phenanthrene <br /> • Pyrene <br /> 5.3.2 Air Concentrations of Volatile Organic Compounds from Soil <br /> SAIC-Benham used the estimated air concentration of VOCs volatilized from on-site soils into <br /> ambient air to estimate inhalation exposures, and subsequently inhalation hazards and risks from <br /> exposure to those chemicals.
