Field Duplicate Sample MW-3-WD-090211 is a field duplicate of MW-3-W-090211. RPDs were calculated for analytes that were detected in both the field duplicate and parent sample. All calculated RPDs were below the control limit of 30 percent, with two exceptions: the RPD for phenanthrene and fluoranthene were 32 percent and 34 percent, respectively, in the field duplicate pairs. This indicates that phenanthrene and fluoranthene were relatively non-homogenous, as compared to other parameters measured in the field duplicate pair. Therefore, the results are qualified E. MS/MSDs Project-specific MS and MSD samples were collected with samples as part of this data set. The MS and MSD for PAHs could not be evaluated because the laboratory performed a 100x dilution before analysis due to matrix interference. The spike was not recovered in the MS and MSD analyzed for TPHd and TPHd with silica gel analyses. The laboratory re-extracted the MS and MSD for the TPHd with silica gel analyses because of associated low surrogates and LCS, and the recoveries were again low in the second analysis. This indicates a matrix effect may have biased the sample results. The results for TPHd and TPHd with silica gel were qualified E in samples MW-3-W-090211 and MW-3-WD-090211. REPRESENTATIVENESS Representativeness was assessed through the evaluation of method blank samples, trip and equipment blank samples, chain-of-custody forms,preservation, and holding times. Method Blank Results Target analytes were not detected in any laboratory method blanks. Field Quality Control Results Equipment rinsate blank QA-Boiler-R-090211 was submitted with the samples. This was a rinsate of the bailer used. No target analytes were detected. Chain-Of-Custody Forms Sample analytical results were evaluated for agreement with the chain-of-custody form. The evaluation determined that all samples were received at the laboratory in the appropriate containers and in good condition with the chain-of-custody form filled out properly. Preservation and Holding Times All samples were received at the laboratory within the acceptance temperature criterion of 4 +2 °C and were analyzed within specified holding times. Reporting Limits Data reported for this sampling event were reported with the program specified reporting limits for groundwater samples. The program reporting limits were used to report data below the applicable action levels. Reporting limits were raised for PAHs in MW-3-W- 090211 and field duplicate MW-3-WD-090211 because the laboratory diluted the sample before analysis for matrix interference.
