Monitoring Well Destruction and Soil and Groundwater Investigation Report
US Can—Welty Road December 28,2010
• The lateral extent of affected groundwater northwest of the US Can property has not been
delineated. This area will be investigated further as part of the adjacent Ahern Road—
Vemalis site.
SAIC-Benham recommends the following:
• Conducting additional research to establish the locations or other available information
for the two wells identified during the DWR search that did not have sufficient location
information.
• Sampling selected water supply wells identified in close proximity to areas where
groundwater concentrations exceeds ESLs and WQOs (contingent on obtaining access).
SAIC-Benham will prepare a brief workplan outlining the results of the research and
wells proposed for sampling.
• Preparation and submittal of a human health screening evaluation as the next step in the
process of moving the site toward no further action required status.
7.
