Therefore, the reporting limits for the GC/MS semivolatile <br /> compounds were raised. <br /> Due to sample matrix interferences observed during the extraction, the <br /> normal reporting limits were not attained. <br /> Benzo(b)fluoranthene and benzo(k)fluoranthene were not resolved under the <br /> sample analysis conditions. The result reported for benzo(b)fluoranthene <br /> represents the combined total of both isomers. <br /> Due to the presence of an interferent near the retention time of <br /> acenaphthylene, the reporting limit was raised. This was due to the fact <br /> that the interferent had a significant abundance of ions at or near the <br /> mass of acenaphthylene. <br /> *=This limit was used in the evaluation of the final result <br />
