Therefore, the reporting limits for the GC/MS semivolatile compounds were raised. Due to sample matrix interferences observed during the extraction, the normal reporting limits were not attained. Benzo(b)fluoranthene and benzo(k)fluoranthene were not resolved under the sample analysis conditions. The result reported for benzo(b)fluoranthene represents the combined total of both isomers. Due to the presence of an interferent near the retention time of acenaphthylene, the reporting limit was raised. This was due to the fact that the interferent had a significant abundance of ions at or near the mass of acenaphthylene. *=This limit was used in the evaluation of the final result
