Mr.Mike Oliphant—CEMC
Supplemental Well Search Report November 20,2012
US Can—Welty Road Page 3 of 3
According to the County, there are no indications that the dwelling associated with
35401 Welty Road was ever part of a separate assessor's parcel.
Aerial photographs from 1963, 1982, and 1993 appear to show one or two dwellings
adjacent to Welty Road near the southern corner of the former US Can property
boundary. The structure(s) does not appear on the 1998 aerial photograph and there are
currently no structures other than the manufacturing facility at the Site. San Joaquin
County indicated there were permits on file for the demolition of buildings on the former
US Can parcel in 1995,but the permits did not include a specific address. Presumably,
the dwelling(s) associated with the 35401 address has since been demolished but no
evidence of a reported destroyed well was found during the DWR search. The Drillers
Report states that the well was located approximately 60 feet into the property. A water-
supply well located approximately where the Drillers Report indicates was sampled in
1995. The groundwater sample was non-detect for the constituents of concern.5 The
well's presumed location is identified in the Site Vicinity and Well Location Map as
Location 3 (Figure 1 and Table 1).
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Through additional research, SAIC was able to confirm the location of one of the water-
supply wells (ID#25650) as lying on the CPS property. A second well (ID# 125288)
could not be located due to insufficient and conflicting information. The remaining well
(ID#052134) was likely associated with a former dwelling adjacent to the US Can
property, and has been previously sampled, with no constituents of concern detected. No
additional research is recommended.
If you have any questions regarding this work, please contact Will Slowik at (559) 638-
7655 or Michael Hurd at(510) 466-7161.
Sincerely,
SAIC Energy Environment& Infrastructure, LLC
 cf
MIGkiAEL HURI3
/ th. 0068
William Slowik Michael Hurd, CHG 0068 CERTIrIEQ
Project Manager Senior Environmental Project Man a HYDROGECLOGIST
EXP.
Enclosures:
Figure 1 —Vicinity Map OF CALpP
Table 1 —Summary of Water-Supply Well Search Results
Attachment A—The EDR Aerial Photo Decade Package—Former Rocket or
Unocal Gas Station
5.
