The Report, dated <br /> 22 March 2012, was prepared for Chevron by Science Applications International Corporation <br /> Energy, Environment & Infrastructure, LLC (8/\|C). The Site is at the SoU1hVVeS1 intersection of <br /> VV8\ty Road and California State Highway 33' south of the rural COD101uni1y of Vernalis. | have <br /> reviewed the Report and related project documents and nOycomments are provided below. <br /> The Site includes part of the highway alignment, the Union Pacific Fl8UrDad (UPRR) right-of-way <br /> (RCA&/). and several cDDlDla[cio|/[Ur8\/oghcu|1Ur8| properties onboth sides ofHighway 33. The <br /> R{}\Ns associated with the hiS1ohC@| {}\d Valley Pipeline (OVp) are along the south aide of the <br /> highway. The historical Tidewater Associated DU COOlpoOy (TAQC) crude oil pipelines are located <br /> within the UF`F\R R{}VV. The his1Ohc8| TA{}C/DVP pipelines were owned/operated by Chevron <br /> predecessors. Two active petroleum hydrocarbon refined product pipelines are present within the <br /> L]PRReasement ROW. <br /> Based On the findings, C8D1r8| Valley Regional VV818r C>U8|i1y Control Board /CeO1r8| V8\\ay Water <br /> Board) staff concurred iO22OApril 2O11 letter toChevron, that crude oil affected soil and <br /> groundwater had been delineated. There are three areas Ofaffected soil, approximately 4OOfeet <br /> by 500 feet on the south end, 100 feet by 150 feet near the center and the largest at the north end ' <br /> of project approximate Crude oil off8ct8dgroundVvo1er <br /> o 8 prO]a has 8pprOX o � <br /> aXteOdSdOVVDgrodi8Dt' northeast, toadjacent properties. The offsite properties are being <br /> investigated separately 8Sthe Ahern Road-Vernalis project.
