Historical Use Information on Adjoining Properties AdvancedGeo Au Employee-Myned Company Historical use of immediately adjoining properties was agricultural and residential. Historical uses of adjoining properties do not appear to be of environmental concern to the subject property. 3.2. PHYSICAL SETTING Geology The subject property is situated within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of California, a large, elongate, northwest -trending, asymmetric structural trough. The Great Valley Province has been filled with thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to Recent, creating a nearly flat -lying alluvial plain that extends from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the Klammath Mountains in the north. Western and eastern boundaries of this province are comprised of the California Coast Range and the Sierra Nevada, respectively. Rocks composing the basement complex of the province have not been completely defined but are believed to be of metamorphic and igneous origins. Northern and southern portions of the Great Valley Province have been designated Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, respectively. The subject property is located within the San Joaquin Valley. Hydrology The subject property and surrounding area lie within the Groundwater Basin, Subbasin (5-22.01). The Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin is bounded by the Mokelumne River on the north and northwest; San Joaquin River on the west; Stanislaus River on the south; and consolidated bedrock on the east. The Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin is bounded on the south, southwest, and west by the Modesto, Delta -Mendota, and Tracy Subbasins, respectively, and on the northwest and north by the Solano, South American, and Cosumnes Subbasins. The Solano and South American are subbasins of the Sacramento Valley Groundwater Basin. The Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin is drained by the San Joaquin River and several of its major tributaries: namely the Stanislaus, Calaveras, and Mokelumne Rivers. The San Joaquin River flows northward into the Sacramento and San Joaquin Delta and discharges into the San Francisco Bay. Based on information obtained from the State of California's Geotracker database, groundwater in the vicinity of the property is between 50 feet and 60 feet below surface grade (bsg) with an easterly groundwater flow direction. Topography The property is located at an elevation of approximately 23 feet above mean sea level (MSL), in an area of low topographic relief. Regional slope of the area is toward the general southwest. Surface Sods EDR provides a report listing dominant soil composition in the general area of the subject property based on information from the United States Department of Agriculture's Soil Conservation Service STATSGO (State Soil Geographic Database) soil maps. Soil surface texture at the subject property consists of soil identified as JACKTONE, a clay in the Class D Hydrogeologic Group which includes very slow infiltration rates. Corrosion potential of this soil for uncoated steel is high. Surface Water Duck Creek flows from east to west across the subject property. There are no other Features surface water features on the subject property. Flood Zone The EDR database report shows that the subject property is located within a 0.2% Annual CHance Flood Hazard zone. This data, available in select counties across the country, was obtained by EDR from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) which has maps depicting FEMA -defined 100 -year and 500 -year flood zones. Wetlands The EDR database report shows that the subject property is not located within the National Wetlands Inventory. This data, available in select counties across the country, was obtained by EDR from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
