Historical Use Information on Adjoining Properties <br />AdvancedGeo <br />Au Employee-Myned Company <br />Historical use of immediately adjoining properties was agricultural and residential. <br />Historical uses of adjoining properties do not appear to be of environmental concern to <br />the subject property. <br />3.2. PHYSICAL SETTING <br />Geology <br />The subject property is situated within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of <br />California, a large, elongate, northwest -trending, asymmetric structural trough. The <br />Great Valley Province has been filled with thick sequences of sediment ranging in <br />age from Jurassic to Recent, creating a nearly flat -lying alluvial plain that extends <br />from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the Klammath Mountains in the north. <br />Western and eastern boundaries of this province are comprised of the California <br />Coast Range and the Sierra Nevada, respectively. Rocks composing the basement <br />complex of the province have not been completely defined but are believed to be of <br />metamorphic and igneous origins. Northern and southern portions of the Great Valley <br />Province have been designated Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, respectively. <br />The subject property is located within the San Joaquin Valley. <br />Hydrology <br />The subject property and surrounding area lie within the Groundwater Basin, <br />Subbasin (5-22.01). The Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin is bounded by the <br />Mokelumne River on the north and northwest; San Joaquin River on the west; <br />Stanislaus River on the south; and consolidated bedrock on the east. <br />The Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin is bounded on the south, southwest, and west by <br />the Modesto, Delta -Mendota, and Tracy Subbasins, respectively, and on the <br />northwest and north by the Solano, South American, and Cosumnes Subbasins. The <br />Solano and South American are subbasins of the Sacramento Valley Groundwater <br />Basin. <br />The Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin is drained by the San Joaquin River and several <br />of its major tributaries: namely the Stanislaus, Calaveras, and Mokelumne Rivers. <br />The San Joaquin River flows northward into the Sacramento and San Joaquin Delta <br />and discharges into the San Francisco Bay. <br />Based on information obtained from the State of California's Geotracker database, <br />groundwater in the vicinity of the property is between 50 feet and 60 feet below <br />surface grade (bsg) with an easterly groundwater flow direction. <br />Topography <br />The property is located at an elevation of approximately 23 feet above mean sea <br />level (MSL), in an area of low topographic relief. Regional slope of the area is toward <br />the general southwest. <br />Surface Sods <br />EDR provides a report listing dominant soil composition in the general area of the <br />subject property based on information from the United States Department of <br />Agriculture's Soil Conservation Service STATSGO (State Soil Geographic Database) <br />soil maps. Soil surface texture at the subject property consists of soil identified as <br />JACKTONE, a clay in the Class D Hydrogeologic Group which includes very slow <br />infiltration rates. Corrosion potential of this soil for uncoated steel is high. <br />Surface Water <br />Duck Creek flows from east to west across the subject property. There are no other <br />Features <br />surface water features on the subject property. <br />Flood Zone <br />The EDR database report shows that the subject property is located within a 0.2% <br />Annual CHance Flood Hazard zone. This data, available in select counties across the <br />country, was obtained by EDR from the Federal Emergency Management Agency <br />(FEMA) which has maps depicting FEMA -defined 100 -year and 500 -year flood zones. <br />Wetlands <br />The EDR database report shows that the subject property is not located within the <br />National Wetlands Inventory. This data, available in select counties across the <br />country, was obtained by EDR from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. <br />
