An oil spill was found on the ground around the 700 gallon <br />waste oil tank due to the faulty overfill device on the waste oil <br />tank. This has since been corrected by Sheldon Phillips. Facilities <br />shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a <br />fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or <br />surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br />Immediately fix the leak, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous <br />waste regulations. A hazardous waste determination <br />has not been done on soil clumped together on the ground on the east <br />side of the facility in front of a large blue bin appeared to be <br />stained with an unknown substance. The facility failed to do a <br />hazardous waste determination for the sludge from the oil/ water <br />separator on the east side of the facility. A hazardous waste <br />determination has not been done on a one gallon partially full <br />container of OTC262 TF Clear Incolore TF Transparente TF that was <br />found in a blue metal recycle bin on the west side of the facility. <br />Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a <br />hazardous waste. Immediately remove the container of OTC262 TF Clear <br />Incolore TF Transparente TF from the recycle bin. Make a hazardous <br />waste determination for the stained soil, sludge and container of <br />OTC262 TF Clear Incolore TF Transparente TF and manage it according <br />the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations.
