GEO-PHASE <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> Report <br /> Site Characterization-Second Event <br /> Former Karlson Trucking Facility <br /> 9909 East Woodward Avenue <br /> Manteca, CA 95366 <br /> April 27, 2000 <br /> Project No. 191.2 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> The site is located along the southeastern edge of the City of Manteca, CA, at <br /> 9909 East Woodward Avenue, which is adjacent to the intersection of Moffat <br /> • Boulevard and Woodward Avenue. It consists of one triangular shaped <br /> parcel of land approximately 15 acres in size. The southern approximately <br /> 3/5ths of the site formerly was a truck service and switching yard. The <br /> remainder of the Property consists of an almond orchard. <br /> 1.2 Previous Environmental Work <br /> A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment was completed at the subject <br /> Property. This assessment, entitled Phase I Environmental Site Assessment- <br /> Former Karlson Trucking Facility, 9909 East Woodward Avenue, Manteca <br /> CA, and dated August 14, 1998 identified recognized environmental <br /> conditions associated with the subject site. Pursuant to reccomendations <br /> from the Phase I ESA, additional environmental assessment work was <br /> completed and documented in a report entitled Phase IIA Environmental Site <br /> Assessment Former Karlson Trucking Facility, 9909 East Woodward Avenue, <br /> Manteca Ca, dated October 28, 1998. This work included soil and <br /> groundwater sample collection at several areas of the site. During the <br /> completion of this work, groundwater samples were collected from three <br /> borings installed between the pole barn building and the shop building to <br /> investigate a suspected underground storage tank location.
