(AGE) has prepared this addendum to the Work Plan for site
assessment dated 19 May 2000.
As discussed during our office/site meeting of 28 October 2000 with your self and Ms. Jessica
Hardy, following the installation of CPT soil borings at the site and a review of the analytical data
of the ground water sample collected, proposed well locations would be submitted to your office.
On 27 through 29 December 2000,a total of four CPT soil borings were installed at the site. Soil and
grab ground water samples were collected. The total depth of two CPT boring only reached 80 feet
below surface grade(bag)due to soil type and site specific conditions. CPT boring P30 was installed
within the warehouse on the site; while borings P31, P32-and P33 were installed west of the
warehouse, in the area of the suspected release of solvents. The total depth of borings P30 and P31
was 100 feet bsg and the total depth of borings P32 and P33'was 80 feet bsg.
Impacted ground water was detected in boring P32 and P33 at concentrations up to 120,000
microgram per liter (µg/1) of stoddard solvent and 96 4g/1 of benzene (sample P32-water 60 feet
bsg). Two `deep' grab water samples from boring P32 and P33 (95 feet and 85 feet bsg) contained
low concentrations of stoddard solvent. While hydrocarbons were not detected in samples (two deep
grab water and soil) collected from soil borings P30 and P31, advanced northeast and east of the
documented release.
The work plan stated the prevailing and historical ground water flow direction was generally
northeast. The current ground water investigation around the former under ground storage tank has
indicated the ground water flow direction to be northeast to east.
4005 North Wilson Way,Stockton,California 95205
Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118
