L & M OPERABLE UNIT- FIRST QUARTER 2012 SITE STATUS, REMEDIAL SUMMARY,
AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT
Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling
April 30, 2012
I:\Tidewater\TW Stockton (P2A)\QMRs\2012\1Q12\1Q12 QSSR QRSR QMR Stockton_FINAL.doc 2.28
2.9 PURGE WATER STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
Between January 17 and 20, 2012, approximately 1,000 gallons of purge water was transferred
to the on-site remediation system to be treated and discharged to the sanitary sewer under the
waste water discharge permit for West Weber Avenue and North Lincoln Street, Stockton, CA.
Field data sheets for calculating the estimated purge volume are included in Appendix D.
2.10 REQUESTED CHANGES TO MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM
Based on review of historical and recent groundwater monitoring and sampling data, Stantec
recommended that sampling frequency be reduced for some of the up-gradient and outlying
wells for the Site and that some of the analysis currently being performed be eliminated from
select wells. The requested changes were submitted during the third quarter of 2006 and a
meeting to discuss these and an additional change was conducted with the RWQCB-CVR on
January 24, 2007. The RWQCB-CVR agreed to provide a revised MRP for the Site. On March
14, 2011, Stantec received notification from RWQCB-CVR that a revised MRP is currently being
drafted. RWQCB-CVR requested additional information be added to the draft MRP; thus,
Stantec provided a revised draft MRP request to the RWQCB-CVR on March 28, 2011.
Additional correspondence between Stantec and the RWQCB-CVR transpired during the first
quarter 2012 and Stantec provided final comments to the draft MRP on March 13, 2012. It is
our understanding that a new, final MRP is in process with the RWQCB-CVR and will soon be
implemented for the L&M OU.
