COMPANY I <br />STOCKTON, CA <br />Ev aluated by: Richard Burzinski Date: January 2009 <br />TASK NAME <br />GROUNDWATER SAMPLING — DIRECT PUSH DRILLING <br />TASK DESCRIPTION CHEMICAL EXPOSURE HAZARDS <br />Groundwater grab samples may be collected from selected soil borings using small-diameter <br />bailers or a peristaltic pump. Grab samples may be collected from within the annular space of <br />the soil sampling rods or collected from open boreholes or from temporary well casings installed <br />in the borings. A <br />reading in excess of 100 ppm will require additional ventilation, followed by re-monitoring. If an acceptable VOC concentration in the <br />breathing zone area cannot be reached within 30 minutes, seal the borehole and contact the SH&EP for guidance.
