Advanced
GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
08 February 2000
AGE-NC Project No. 99-0559
Mr. Harlin Knoll
San Joaquin County PHS-EHD
304 East Weber Avenue
Stockton, CA 95202
Subject: Floating Product Removal
WATERLOO FOOD & FUEL
3032 E. Waterloo Road, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Knoll:
At the request of Mr. Paul Sidhu, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared the following scope
of work for the above-referenced site based on field data gathered during the preliminary site assessment
activities.
During preliminary site assessment activities approved by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) in the Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan dated 12 October
1999 by AGE, AGE encountered Free Product in monitoring well MW-2. To extract the "product" in an
expeditious manner, AGE personnel manually bailed the monitoring well MW-2 on 02 and 03 February
2000. The amount of floating product monitored and evacuated on 03 February was significantly less than
the amount recovered on 02 February.
AGE has scheduled the deployment of a "passive skimmer" in MW-2 for 11 February 2000, and the
implementation of weekly monitoring and evacuation of product within the well. AGE will continue this
procedure until otherwise directed by PHS-EHD personnel.
If you have any questions or comments, please call the office at (209) 467-1006.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
Tonily 1Mikacich
Staff Geologist
cc: Mr. Marty Hartzell - CVRWQCB
Mr. Paul Sidhu - Waterloo Food & Fuel
4005 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California 95205
Telephone (209) 467-1006 FAX (209) 467-1118
