PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION <br />Karen Furst, M.D., M.P.H., Health Officer <br />304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor • Stockton, CA 95202 <br />209/468-3420 <br />February 9, 1999 <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />NOTICE OF FINDINGS REGARDING <br />SITE MITIGATION PLAN <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a INTERIM SOIL REMEDIATION PLAN for soil <br />contamination from the underground storage tanks (USTs) formerly located at 3032 <br />Waterloo Road, Stockton has been reviewed by San Joaquin County Public Health <br />Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD). The plan is a proposal to <br />excavate the soil which has been contaminated due to unauthorized releases from the <br />USTs which was located on the property. <br />PHS/EHD has made a tentative determination that the plan is in compliance with <br />California Health & Safety Code Chapter 6.7, Section 25299.37 and California Code of <br />Regulations Corrective Action Requirements, and that the resultant work will not create <br />significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the benefits to be gained from <br />cleanup of the contamination. <br />The remediation plan is available for public review at PHS/EHD, 304 E. Weber <br />Avenue, Stockton during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Final <br />PHS/EHD approval for the plan is scheduled for February 11, 1999. <br />Questions regarding the specific site concerns or procedures should be directed to <br />Harlin Knoll, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-3442 or sent in writing to him at 304 E.
