22 March 1999
AGE-NC Project No. 99-0559
Purgeable aromatics (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes: BTEX) in
accordance with EPA Method 8020,
Oxygenating fuel additives tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE),
methyl-butyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE) and tertiary
amyl methyl ether (TAME) in accordance with EPA Method 8260 Modified and
The LUFT metal total lead (Pb) in accordance with EPA Methods 6010.
RESULTS
TPH-g and the fuel additive MTBE were not detected in any of the soil samples analyzed. BTEX
was not detected in samples except for, low levels of xylenes in soil stockpile sample SP-7,
which had a concentration of 0.017 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg). Total lead was detected at
concentrations up to 10 (mg/kg). Table 1 summarizes the analytical soil results (McCampbell
Laboratory numbers 0358-0 through -5).
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact our office at (209) 467-1006.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
Tony Mikacich
Staff Geologist
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
