The August 2017 <br />Response Letter and February 17 TPH Evaluation Letter provide information in support of the <br />claim that Dopaco, Inc. (Dopaco), formerly a subsidiary of Cascades, Inc. (Cascades) neither <br />stored, handled, or used gasoline, diesel, or any other chemicals of concern (COCs; <br />1,4-dichlorobenzene, 1,2,3-trichlorobenzene, 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene, acetone, carbon disulfide, <br />cis-1,2-dichloroethene, di-isopropyl ether, 4-methyl-2-pentanone, hexachlorobutadiene, <br />isopropyl benzene, naphthalene, tert-butyl benzene, and vinyl chloride) associated with Case <br />#3. <br />In consideration of the claims made by Cascades in the August 2017 Response Letter and <br />February 17 TPH Evaluation Letter, Central Valley Water Board staff requests that these <br />documents be resubmitted under a single cover containing the following statement: <br />"I certify (or declare) under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California <br />that the foregoing is true and correct': <br />[signature and date lines] <br />This attestation must be signed by a legally authorized Cascades representative with first-hand <br />knowledge of Dopaco's operations and materials-management practices during Dopaco's <br />tenancy at the Site. Along with the above statement, please also provide a discussion of any <br />known, historical spills or releases of any of the above-mentioned COCs at the Site during that <br />same period. <br />KARL E.
