INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Victor Aranda, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this
Well Installation Report for the property located at 821 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California.
(site). The scope of work included installation, development and survey of three on and off-site
ground water monitoring wells, two soil vapor wells and preparation of this report. The location of
the site and the surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1; structures, former underground storage
tank (UST) locations, and soil boring and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2.
Additional site background information is provided in Appendix A.
Three ground water monitoring wells and two soil-vapor wells were advanced for vertical and lateral
delineation of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in the area of the former eastern underground
storage tank (UST), south, and west of the former UST.
2.0. PROCEDURES
On 24, 25, 26 June 2008 two ground water monitoring wells and two soil vapor wells were installed
on-site near the former UST location. On 26 August 2008 one off-site ground water monitoring well
was installed in the city sidewalk approximately 180 feet south of the intersection of East Taylor
Street and Wilson Way Frontage Road. Field work was conducted in accordance with guidelines
issued by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the
investigation of UST sites. Well installation procedures were outlined in the AGE-prepared
Additional Site Assessment Work Plan dated 18 February 2008 and approved by EHD letter dated
12 March 2008.
2.1. MONITORING WELL INSTALLATIONS
Between 24 and 26 June 2008, four soil borings (MW5, MW6, VW1, and VW2) were advanced at
the site using a CME-75HT Limited Access truck mounted drill rig to advance 8.25 or 10-inch
diameter hollow-stem augers to total depths of 55 feet (MW5) below surface grade (bsg), 75 feet bsg
(MW6) and 35 feet bsg (VW1 and VW2); on 26 August 2008, soil boring MW4 was advanced
off-site to a total depth of 55 feet bsg. The drill rig and three-man crew were supplied by Cascade
Drilling, Inc. of Rancho Cordova, California. Auger returns generated by the drilling were
containerized in properly labeled, Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums
and stored on-site pending proper disposal.
Soil samples were collected ahead of the drill bit using a California modified split-spoon sampler
loaded with three pre-cleaned, 2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves. The samples were collected from the
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
