Chrisman Road
Tracy, California 95376-8022
SUBJECT: MAJOR SUBDIVISION APPLICATION NO. SU-99-1
Dear Mr. 0 mstead:
This is is to follow up on our telephone conversation Friday morning.
As we discussed, a Negative Declaration was prepared for the above referenced Major
Subdivision application. The Negative Declaration was sent to the State Clearinghouse
(SCH #99042050) for a thirty (30) day review, and adopted by the San Joaquin County
Planning Commission on June 3, 1999 when the 83 lot Major Subdivision was approved.
Initially, individual septic systems were proposed to provide sanitary sewage disposal.
We understand that in lieu of this, you are now proposing to provide sanitary sewage
disposal with a single wastewater treatment facility, and that Public Health Services
agrees that this is a better method of sewage disposal than individual septic systems.
Based upon this determination by Public Health Services, the Community Development
Department has no objections to the alternative method proposed for sanitary sewage
disposal. The proposed wastewater treatment facility is environmentally superior to
individual septic systems.
If you have any questions, I can be reached at (209) 468-3140.
Sincerely,
KERRY..2ULLIVAN
Deputy Director
KS:ss
SU991LTR
C: Al Olsen
SU-99-1
