The contents of the filter compartment
were a light grey, extremely fine powder, solid material. M. Belmont stated that they had been
disposing of this material in the trash as a waste without any type of hazardous materials
manifest.
This sample was tested for total metals, WET, TCLP metals, and pH.
This sample exceeds the TTLC for cadmium and the STLC for cadmium and lead. The contents of the filter compartment were
a light grey, coarse powder, solid material. M. Belmont stated that they had been disposing of this
material in the trash as a waste without any type of hazardous materials manifest.
This sample was tested for total metals, WET, TCLP metals, and pH. This sample exceeds the
TTLC and STLC for cadmium. Pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 22, section
66261.24(a)(2), this sample exhibits the characteristic of toxicity.
The sample also exceeds the TCLP concentration for cadmium, which pursuant to. The holding container contained the rinse water from the inspection process
using the chemical solution Ardrox to dye and identify metal plane parts. This rinse water is
considered a waste. Previous to this inspection M. Belmont stated that they had been disposing
of this rinse water into the septic system.
This sample was tested for total metals, WET, TCLP metals, pH, and Fish Bioassay.
Sample SP -10A did not exhibit a characteristic of hazardous waste for total metals, WET, TCLP
metals, and pH (7.69). Sample SP -10B for the Fish Bioassay is still undergoing laboratory testing
and will provide an addendum if needed.
Page: 12
