4 — Lathe and Grinder Shavings (includes similar waste generated by using drill presses, etc.) See <br />attached photo: "4 - Metal Waste Container, Labelled & Closed.jpg" <br />This waste has been separated into 2 waste streams: Grinder Waste and Machining Waste, Aluminum <br />and Steel. Grinder Waste is emptied into the polishing room waste container since it is composed of the <br />same materials. Please see "Grinding Polishing Room Fines" <br />Machining Waste, Aluminum & Steel Disposal Instructions: <br />• Contain to a sealed container made of plastic or metal <br />• Seal the container when not in use <br />• Ensure Adequate Spill Containment <br />• Label satellite containers with a hazardous waste label or mark the container 'Hazardous <br />Waste — and include a hazard communication (GHS) label. <br />• When transferring the contents to the accumulation area, label the accumulation container <br />with a yellow hazardous waste label using the 'label information' section of the Hazardous <br />Waste Determination as a guide. <br />• If Recycling: <br />o Obtain a receipt from the recycler with product description and weight <br />• If Disposing: <br />o Manifesting is required <br />o Submit a copy of the manifest to CERS within 30 days of shipment. <br />5 — Paint Filters <br />No paint filter waste has been generated since the inspection; thus, we cannot provide a waste <br />container photo. <br />Instructions for handling the waste are as follows: <br />• Contain to a sealed container made of metal or plastic <br />• Seal the container when not in use <br />• Label satellite containers with a hazardous waste label or mark the container 'Hazardous <br />Waste — and include a hazard communication (GHS) label. <br />• When transferring the contents to the accumulation area, label the accumulation container <br />with a yellow hazardous waste label using the 'label information' section of the Hazardous <br />Waste Determination as a guide. <br />• Manifesting is required <br />• Submit a copy of the manifest to CERS within 30 days of shipment. <br />6 — Blast Media, 7 — Blast Media, & 8 — Shot Pea <br />These 3 wastes are combined into one 'Blast Media' waste stream.
