See the DTSC OCI case #15242 for full details. <br />The following samples were found to be RCRA hazardous wastes when tested by the DTSC laboratory: <br />Sample SP -01: NuEtch E3 solution - prior to May 18, 2021, the facility discharged this solution to the on-site septic tank <br />when it became a waste, multiple times a year. <br />Sample SP -02: DeSmut NS3 solution - prior to May 18, 2021, the facility discharged this solution to the on-site septic tank <br />when it became a waste, multiple times a year. <br />Sample SP -03: "Non -hazardous Industrial Waste, Rinse Water" - prior to May 18, 2021, the facility discharged this solution <br />to the on-site septic tank when it became a waste, multiple times a year. <br />Sample SP -04A: "Alodine" rinse water solution - prior to May 18, 2021, the facility discharged this solution to the air by <br />boiling it, when it became a waste. <br />Sample SP -05A: "Alodine" rinse water solution - prior to May 18, 2021, the facility discharged this solution to the air by <br />boiling it, when it became a waste. <br />Sample SP -07: Grey powder in the Clean Room - prior to May 18, 2021, the facility was not disposing of this waste as <br />hazardous waste. <br />Sample SP -08: Grey powder in the Clean Room - prior to May 18, 2021, the facility was not disposing of this waste as <br />hazardous waste. <br />Sample SP -09: Grey powder in the Clean Room - prior to May 18, 2021, the facility was not disposing of this waste as <br />hazardous waste. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: The disposal of any hazardous waste, or the causing thereof, is prohibited when the disposal is <br />at a facility which does not have a permit from the department issued pursuant to this chapter, or at any point which is not <br />authorized according to this chapter. Hazardous wastes shall be disposed of only by transportation to a permitted <br />hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility (TSDF) or other authorized point. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately cease disposal of all hazardous wastes at unauthorized points, including the items <br />listed above.
