After obtaining lithology information, the rig will move over a small distance (1-2 feet) and
collect approximately 3 to 6 hydropunch water samples. Each water sample will be collected from a separate boring,
instead of shuttling in and out of the same hole repeatedly, in order to try to reduce the chance of cross contaminating
the samples. So after collecting each hydropunch water sample, the hole would be grouted before moving over a small
distance and proceed again.
Onsite (2057 El Dorado), we will be collecting five water samples from five separate holes. The number of samples is
known, because the profiling boring was completed in 2013.
If you have any further questions, please let me know. We will do our best to try to make things as efficiently as possible
for you, but please try to be as flexible as possible. The CPT rig is very expensive, and those costs get passed along to the
UST Cleanup Fund, which is trying to do their best to cut costs.
Scott Bittinger
1
