All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine measured at 0.4 ppm. The free chlorine should be between 2.0 and 10.0 ppm. Corrected <br />on site to 10.0 ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open orm use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: Combined chlorine measured at 0.8 ppm. This concentration should not exceed 0.4 ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br />of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or <br />skin. (CCR 65531) <br />#18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa shell is pitted where people have been sitting. The shell of the spa should be smooth and water <br />proof. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency. (CBC 3108B) <br />#35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is no flow meter for the spa. Provide a flow meter that measures the flow of water (gallons per <br />minute) in the pipes after it passes through the filter. Provide this by the next routine inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION., Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
