Ed Padilla 's impromptu meeting with Board member Nan
Drake, at breakfast prior to the formal meeting, allowed him to
answer several of her concerns. Jim Miller 's presentation on
behalf of the L.E.A. established L.E.A. support for the project
and warmed the Board up for our presentation.
The Board members congratulated all on the presentation, and
Board member Nan Drake went one step further in recognizing the
staffs of the Waste Board, L.E.A. , and Public Works, in all the
hard work which was done in establishing what she felt was an
excellent permit document. Sometimes we forget all work that is
done in the trenches prior to final presentation and action. I
wish to thank you, Fred, Jim, Ed, and anyone else who is involved
in the North County permit process. True, we had our differences
along the way, but I feel that just led to a better end result,
and I look forward to our future dealings on future permits.
Thanks again.
Very ruly:yours,
Eugene B.
