WORK PLAN FOR LIMITED SITE INVESTIGATION <br /> lrerracon <br />Tracy Ridge Tracy, California <br />March 27, 2019 Terracon Project No. NA187052.1 <br />Based on shallow depth to groundwater (11 feet bgs), open regulatory status, and <br />reported pesticide, herbicide, and petroleum hydrocarbon contamination above <br />screening levels, Haley's Flying Service represents a REC to the site. <br />2.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The scope of the LSI is in response to the findings of Terracon's Phase I ESA of the site and <br />discussions with Ridge Capital, Inc. and includes the following: <br />Preparing this letter Work Plan for review and approval by the San Joaquin County <br />Department of Environmental Health (SJCDEH); <br />Advancing 23 soil borings to depths of approximately 2, 5, and 10 feet below grade surface <br />(bgs) at locations shown on Exhibit 2 and Exhibit 3. Each location will include one soil <br />sample, and one groundwater sample if groundwater is encountered; <br />Analyzing soil samples (and groundwater if encountered) for total petroleum hydrocarbons <br />as gasoline, diesel, and motor oil (TPH-g, TPH-d, and TPH-mo) by EPA Method 8015M, <br />volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method 8260B, Organochlorine Pesticides <br />(OPCs) by 8081A, Chlorinated Herbicides (CH) by 8151A, California Administrative <br />Manual (CAM 17) metals by 6020/7471, and/or Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) <br />by 8270; and <br />Prepare an LSI report. <br />2.1 Objectives <br />The objective of the proposed LSI is to assess the presence of chemicals commonly associated <br />with the identified RECs and/or site concerns at concentrations above laboratory reporting limits <br />in the on-site Environmental Media. <br />2.2 Commitment to Safety <br />Terracon has a commitment to the safety of all its employees. As such, and in accordance with <br />our Incident and Injury Free® safety culture, Terracon will develop a Project Safety Plan to be <br />used by our personnel during field services. Prior to commencement of on-site activities, Terracon <br />will hold a tailgate safety meeting to review site-specific job hazards and health and safety needs <br />for this specific project. In addition, prior to engaging in new on-site activities or tasks, we will re- <br />evaluate potential job hazards and appropriate safe working procedures as part of our Pre-Task <br />Planning process. At this time, we anticipate performing fieldwork in a Level D work uniform <br />consisting of hard hats, safety glasses, protective gloves, and steel-toed boots. It may become <br />necessary to upgrade this level of protection, at additional cost, while sampling activities are being <br />Responsive • Resourceful • Reliable 3
