A total ofiWwells provide drinking water for <br />approximately 40,000pcorle.7 <br />. • <br />544•V•c.4. ceseenise.ri re, <br />The depth of intake for these wells ranges from 200 to 300 feet. The three wells nearest to the <br />site have depths as follows: Station 19 = 277 feet, Station 50 = 236 feet and Station 34 = :88 <br />feet. <br />The abandoned wells to the west of the site are closed due to the salt water intrusion of the <br />delta. <br />The drinking water is a blended system. On average 70 percent is surface water (bought from <br />Stockton East Water District) and 30 percent is groundwater. During the wet season the system <br />uses surface water exclusively. <br />The depth to the water table for Station 19 is 72 feet as of November, 1992. This station Is <br />less than 0.25 mile from the site.
