Box 1810 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> REVIEW OF SECOND QUARTER 2001 GROUNDWATER AND SURFACE WATER <br /> MONITORING REPORT FOR NORTH COUNTYRECYCLING CENTER AND SANITARY <br /> LANDFILL, SAN JOA Q UIN COUNTY(Case File No.3161) <br /> Regional Board staff has completed review of the North County Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill, <br /> Second Quarter 2001, Groundwater and Surface Water Monitoring Report, dated 15 July 2001. <br /> Monitoring has been completed in compliance with the Waste Discharge Requirements. The report <br /> indicates that leachate concentrations or levels of TDS, electrical conductivity, and chloride are <br /> significantly higher than the groundwater samples. These leachate samples are also slightly more acidic. <br /> Three VOCs were detected during this monitoring event. Methylene chloride was detected in upgradient <br /> well G-1 and downgradient wells G-3D, and G-5.Napthalene and Toluene were also detected in well G- <br /> l. A resampling of G-1 was requested and the County will forward the results when they arrive.
