Jacktone Rd. <br />Stockton, CA 95215 <br />RE: Out of Service Well Inspection <br />Well Location: 4799 N. Jacktone Rd. Stockton, CA Permit #: WP0037321 Inspection Date: 05/08/2019 <br />The Environmental Health Department recently conducted a "out of service" water well inspection at the above <br />address and found the following issues at the time of the inspection. In order to protect the ground water <br />supply and your water source from potential degradation, please take the associated corrective actions. <br />1E1 Lack of or Inadequate Concrete Platform around Wellhead. <br />(SJC Water Well Standards, Section 4.10.— Surface Seal) <br />Corrective Action: Repair Existing pedestal so that water/rainfall is allowed to runoff. <br />El Inadequate Sanitary Seal at Wellhead. Seal is not water tight. <br />(SJC Ord. Code, Title 9, Section 9-1115.5. —Well Regulations) <br />Corrective Action: Seal the well head between the sanitary and well casing so that it is watertight. <br />E The well is not marked, it is difficult to identify. <br />(SJC Water well Standards, Section 5.1.3.0ut of Service Wells) <br />Corrective Action: Mark the location of the well with a pole/post so that it can easily be identified, <br />and to prevent damage. <br />Lack of or Inadequate Backflow Prevention. <br />(SJC Water Well Standards, Section 4.14. — Backflow Prevention) <br />Corrective Action: Install an approved protective device to prevent backflow and/or back <br />siphonage into a well. <br />Sounding Tube or Air Vent not Sealed. <br />(SJC Water Well Standards, Section 4.13.— Sounding Tube/Air Vent Pipe) <br />Corrective Action: Sounding Tube or Fill Pipe-Install a watertight, threaded cap at the upper end <br />of the pipe. Air Vent-extend pipe 12 inches above with end inverted in a <br />downward direction and covered with 16-mesh screening. <br />Excessive Vegetation or debris around Wellhead. <br />(SJC Ord.
